Jimmy McNamara: A review of character (or the lack thereof)

Rancor.  Vile.  Putrid.  Words used most commonly to describe a swine that has the runs.  But in our situation we could find no finer words to amplify our dear friend, Jimbo.

He is a man of few words.  Simple words.  Words reflecting the intellect of a three-year old that has been raised by wolves.  And the wolves would have to be pretty darn stupid.

With dumbo ears, a smile more crooked than the Ifle Tower he is a natural eye sore.

We have many questions we wish to ask him.

Why does he text on his cell phone in his journalism class?
Why doesn't he wear a paper bag over his head?
Why, Jimmy? . . . Just. . . why?

But we know he won't understand.

Jimmy has a crooked smile
Kids do laugh yet all the while
He studies the wall as if looking for a sign
But in reality he wastes his time
He has not future and no hope
In fewer words he's just a dope

Jimmy McNamara

Jimmy seems to be a really awkward person when you first meet him (no offense Jimmy), but he really is kind of cool. He is not really cool, just kind of cool. Somehow, he is pretty good at baseball, and according to him, there are college teams recruiting him as a pitcher right now. Personally, I don't think he is that good, but he thinks he is. All that matters is that he believes in himself, and that is good for his precious little heart. That is a basic summary of Jimmy.

Fantasy Sports

I have been competing against my friends in Fantasy sports for a few years now. If you have not tried it, you definitely should because it is really fun. The best part is the draft. You get to pick an imaginary team from a pool of all the players in a particular sport, and the team you pick competes against the other people's teams. Right now I am in fantasy basketball, and if i win this week and next week, I win $80. Hopefully I can pull it off.

My Thoughts About Design

Design is definitely not my thing. Its not that I don't think it could be fun, but I just am not good at it. It seems like everyone else in the class knows what to do and when to do it right away. I just take a little extra time trying to figure out what the heck is going on.

My Friday

Today, I have baseball practice after school until five, but after that, my friend and I are going to Chicago to see Purdue in the NCAA tournament. It is the first round and they are playing a relatively weak opponent, but you never really know what will happen. Hopefully, since I am a Purdue basketball fan, they can pull off the victory like they are expected to do, and move on to the next round. I am also hoping that both Notre Dame and Purdue win the next to games because that would lead to them playing each other in the elite eight. The in-state rivalry would be a really cool thing to watch. Maybe Purdue will make it to the final four or National Championship this year. You never know.

March Madness

March Madness is one of the greatest sporting events of the year. It is really fun to compete with other people in filling out a bracket. My picks are usually wrong, but it is still fun to try. I get the best satisfaction when I pick a major upset that nobody would believe could happen. For example, this year I picked Richmond to upset Vanderbilt who is the five seed. Amazingly, it actually happened, and I got to rub it in the faces of everyone that doubted it would happen. Most of all, I love watching the intensely close contests that often end up coming down to the fine shot. Because of the sheer excitement, March Madness is on the list of great American sporting events.

Jeff and His Ragged Beard

If you see a big hairy caveman in the halls, it is just Jeff. Don't be to frightened by him if you can, though it may be hard to not want to just shave it off right there on the spot. If I had a razor in my hand at this moment, there is no doubt in my mind that I would personally take responsibility for Jeff and the hairy beast that is growing from his face. He just happens to be sitting next to me right now, and he is trying to write a blog about me in a negative way. Don't listen to what he blogs about because it is based on foolish rage and is in no way truthful. At this moment, I am string at his beard, and all I can think about is just cutting the darn thing off. I vow that someday I will be the one to take Jeff's beard from his face and burn it into ashes.
